GM is preparing for the latest generation of the Chevrolet Corvette that will appear in 2011. GM engineers will be transplanting the new V8 engine, stripped V6. This new engine by GM is the first application of next-gen small block family, the latest generation of small engines family. Machines featured with direct injection that can take E85 fuel.

V8 engine is certainly more efficient and clean, this machine has a capacity of 5.5 liters with power boost to 440 hp, in the previous variant powered only 430 hp.

While for body design, the Corvette is a blend of past design with futuristic face concept. Some parts of this car concept such as door scissors, ergonomic design, rear camera with night vision technology, battery-powered engine instead of electricity in the future may not be pinned in the car mass. In addition, elements such as touch control that will exist in the cabin for easy operator are also likely to be realized.

By the way, the Government of the state of Kentucky, the United States made a unique breakthrough by making the Chevrolet Corvette sports car as an icon of their state. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear assess the Chevrolet Corvette has been widely credited for Kentucky advance since Corvette plant was built in the state.
