After long awaited his presence, finally Audi A1 was officially launched in Germany. World public seems to already to welcoming the Audi A1. Proved, the order of Audi A1 reportedly has more than 50,000 units. As quoted from several sources, the Audi A1 will be available across Europe in mid-September. Well, according to Audi’s sales and marketing board that the report from an international dealer network showed interest with Audi A1 by consumers than really expected. That’s because Audi has added production capacity up to 20 percent.
For exterior, Audi A1 has 3.9 m of length, 1.7 m of width, 1.4 m high and 2.6 m wheelbase. Audi A1 is offered in two engine options, that is gasoline and diesel engines. There are two petrol engine variants, the 1200 cc and 1400 cc TFSI (Turbo Fuel Stratified Gasoline Direct Injection). The first variant of Audi is capable spraying up to 56 hp with 160 Nm of torque, while the 1400 cc variant is claimed can produce 122 hp with 200 Nm of torque. As for diesel engines, there are three variants. Each of 1400 cc, 1600 cc and 2000 cc common rail injection technology equipped. 1600 cc Type capable spraying up to 90 hp and 230 Nm of torque.
There are pinned a number of advanced features in the Audi A1, starting from the audio remote-controlled central locking system, rearview mirror with power-adjustable, power windows regulator driver’s seat until the head airbags in the car which was mentioned as a serious competitor is the BMW X1.
For prices, in Europe the Audi A1 prices about €15.800.
